2019 High School Forwards

The wings and forwards of the 2019 high school class is shaping up to be really good. There are many players that project very favorably even at this early age. Here is a look at 10 wings/forwards that could be NBA prospects down the road.

  1. RJ Barrett - son of Rowan Barrett who was on the Canadian team. He is a fantastic athlete with skills to go with it. He is having a great season for Montverde Academy.
  2. Scottie Lewis - A fantastic athlete with tremendous length. He shows a good fundamental base to his skill game as well.
  3. Keion Brooks - 6-7 with length and skills to do everything on the court. As he adds muscle, he could develop into one of the country's best players.
  4. Deontay Long - 6-4, strong with fantastic skills. He has been stronger than his opponents to this point. He needs to adjust to that and improve through that change.
  5. Trendon Watford - brother of former Indiana University player Christian Watford. He has many similarities and Trendon might be a slightly better athlete at this stage. Trendon has huge upside.
  6. Matthew Hurt - 6-7 and still growing with a high level of skill. Hurt has a chance to be special. He has been playing varsity since his 7th grade year in Minnesota.
  7. Juwan Gary - 6-6 and a good leaper. He has a solid skill set as well.
  8. Bryant Brown - long, jack of all trades type of player. Brown is making an impact for Waukegan High in Illinois.
  9. Blake Hinson - dual sport athlete that might be an even better football player. It will be interesting to see what path he takes.
  10. Wendell Moore - a strong player with good vertical explosion

2019 High School Guards

The 2019 class is making a name for itself. There have been a number of guards that are shining at a high level from coast to coast in the freshmen class. Ten players are rising to the top early in their high school career.

  1. Bryan Antoine - guard from New Jersey with all of the tools that project him well to college even as a freshman in high school.
  2. Cassius Stanley - older for his grade, but his game still projects well for the years to come.
  3. Kahlil Whitney - possibly the best 2019 player in Chicago. Incredibly long athlete with skills.
  4. Cole Anthony - son of former NBA player Greg Anthony. Cole is making a name for himself as possibly the best freshman in New York.
  5. Marcedus Leech - incredible athlete that is putting up huge numbers as a frosh.
  6. Patrick McCaffery - son of Iowa coach Fran McCaffery so he is a lock to be a Hawkeye. McCaffery is 6-5 or 6-6 as a freshman in high school. Extremely talented player.
  7. LaMelo Ball - already committed to UCLA like his older brothers. Ball is dazzling crowds with his brothers at Chino Hills in California.
  8. Tyger Campbell - the ring leader of one of the best high school teams especially in terms of talent at La Lumiere. He sees the floor and passes like a former college player playing at the YMCA.
  9. KeJuan Clements - a long guard that is seeing time from day one at the perennial power Chicago Simeon.
  10. Isaiah Thompson - brother of Purdue's P.J. Thompson. Isaiah is scoring 20+ points per game for a solid Zionsville team in Indiana.
